I'm impressed

Things I liked:
- the detuned synths add some texture
- the kick: just punchy enough to get the job done, and I love the release on it
- the modulation: but please stay in D after one switch back and forth.

Things I didn't like:
- at 1:36, you have a i-i-VII-III progression going, yet your synth lead has me feeling a progression of i-i-VI-III for some reason. Might be just me, but you've got Ab's and Bb's going at the same time and 2nd intervals are generally good to stay away from. It irked me, but going back it doesn't sound BAD, it just bugs me. Don't pay too much worry
- your open hihat sounds like it has a chorus effect on it. Again, probably just me, you might have been going for this effect.
- the end of your song needs to be beatmatchable...

YO...

1 - DnB is almost twice as fast
2 - Bring out that sweet sample
3 - your bass progression sucks, it's just random notes

This is terrible

Trance = "DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF"
Learn it.

Nothing really that special going on here.

I appreciated the tambourine!

...

Only complaint I've got is that the bass, when playing higher notes, tends to drown out everything else. You can manually counteract this by adjusting individual note volume so that it's more or less homogeneous.

Nav responds:

Haha, you must be using headphones with an artificial bass boost. I actually finely EQed this track so the bass shouldn't clip, just your headphones, or speakers or whatever have a boost to the deep bass, that, while supposedly making it more "hearable" actually causes my finely EQed song to clip and cut out... Try listening with a different set of headphones or speaker.

Thanks for reviewing! :)

What about 2:15?

Yeah, at 2:15 that percussion sample (I can't even figure out what it is) is annoying as hell... it also sounds like you're just playing random notes

TimeBender responds:

It's not a sample and im not really hitting notes either.

Great percussion...

...and a neurofunk, catchy sample to boot. I especially like your emphasis on the offbeats with the drums. Your bass is a little too loud and could use a little more release.

And please, release longer tracks! I'd love to spin your music but it's just too short.

TimeBender responds:

I took that into consideration when I was mixing my current project, I'll update this song also.

Very good

Two things:
It clips slightly
You can't hear the kick during the melody-intensive phrases

Answer: Turn your synths down, buddy!

Otherwise, very good job. Please review back on my latest if you have time.

Erm

Shouldn't the guitars be louder than the drums?

pitchblak responds:

Erm.... I couldnt agree more. Damn thing sounded good on my pc speakers but realized on others that yes,the drums are to loud. Thanx for review

ahahaha

lmao

Rig responds:

indeed.

Are you kidding?

Are you tonedeaf? There isn't any harmonic sense to this. Preset percussion didn't help. Try to do more than just random notes next time.

Dr-Slump responds:

It doesn't have any preset percution, dumbshit. And it wasn't random notes. I just couldn't find the right notes. Well, i tried my best, hours of dedication on this one. Just try to be more constructive next time, and stop acting like a 12 years old idiot.
